The
Stuart McElrath Company's Vibratory Shakeouts (VSM)
and (VSR)
are designed for Steel or Iron foundry's needing
to break molds apart for casting removal and to
reduce the sand lumps for reclamation. The comes
in two versions, one designed to be shakeout (VSM)
only (maximum throughput) with post sand
lump reduction in a device such as a Didion drum
and a second version (VSR)
(reduced throughput) which incorporates both
liners and sieve plates to eliminate the need
for post lump reduction processing.
The
Vibratory Shakeouts are designed to hold sand
molds and castings, with or without flasks, up
to 40,000 lbs. in capacity. The deck of the
Vibratory Shakeout incorporates steel railroad
rail to reduce wear from flasks and castings.
Harden breaker points are used for sand lump
reduction allow them to flow thought the upper
deck plate into the lower chamber of the
Vibratory Shakeout.
The
lower chamber, in the harden wear liners made of
HARDOX further reduce the sand lumps for
discharge form the unit. In the VSR model, sieve
plates are used to reduce sand lumps down to a
maximum size of 3/8", perfect for post shakeout
handling and sand reclamation. The Vibratory
Shakeout includes an access door for inspection
and tramp material removal.
Options for the Vibratory Shakeouts include
support legs and motor starters and disconnects.
